Cats and Carriers

Often, the most difficult parts of a cat's visit to a veterinary clinic are just getting there, and then the presence of dogs when they do.  We have managed to eliminate the stress of being surrounded by barking dogs for you by being a quiet, cat-only clinic, but the cat still has to get here.  There is now a video produced by the CATalyst Council (an unfortunate name, I think, but a knowledgeable group) that is designed to help decrease the trauma of the trip in.  Topics include:  choosing the best type of carrier; choosing the best location for training your cat to its carrier; making the carrier "cat-friendly"; helping your cat learn to ride in a car; and helping your fearful cat.  It is called "Cats and Carriers:  Friends, not Foes", and can be viewed at:
